Raksha Pattni honoured on Northern Power Women List

Jan. 22, 2020

Ambition Institute’s North Director, Raksha Pattni, has been named as one of the top 50 most influential women in the North.

Northern Power Women have today released the names of 102 women who have contributed to making a difference in their communities and organisations, as well as raising awareness of gender equality across the North of England.

The Power List celebrates 50 women who challenge the norm and use their influence and power for good.

Raksha’s inclusion on the Power List is recognition of her work at Ambition Institute – where, under her leadership, the charity has supported over 1,000 schools across the North to keep getting better – as well as her role as a trustee at the education charity SHINE, and as a member of the Education and Skills Board at the Northern Powerhouse Partnership.

Raksha Pattni said, “I feel so humbled to have been recognised on the Power List. This is certainly an unexpected accolade, but I am honoured to be named alongside so many other fantastic women.

“I credit much of my drive, vision and success to date to the positive female role models who have inspired me throughout my career; as well as growing up in a household with six sisters!

“I am excited about the opportunities that are opening up across the North to improve education for our children and attract more great educators to the region – not least the roll-out of the Early Careers Framework, which is starting on our doorstep.

“I look forward to continuing to work with our incredible school partners in 2020 to make sure every child gets the rich, opportunity-enhancing education they deserve.”
