The Confederation of School Trusts

The Confederation of School Trusts (CST) is the national organisation and sector body for School Trusts in England advocating for, connecting and supporting executive and governance leaders.

CST are a membership organisation of organisations. This means that the organisation – the trust – is the member.

They currently support and represent 70% of the academy sector in England.

CST has a strong, strategic presence with access to government and policy makers to drive real change for education on the big issues that matter most.

Action Tutoring

Action Tutoring is a charity that supports young people facing disadvantage to achieve academically. They do this through school partnerships, pairing high-quality volunteer tutors with pupils facing disadvantage, to increase their subject knowledge, confidence and study skills.

Pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds have less access to the tools that support them to progress in school and reach their full academic potential. This is called the attainment gap. Action Tutoring take a strategic approach to addressing this attainment gap through its model and partnerships with schools nationwide.
