How to register (for those employed by schools eligible for funding):
Firstly, if unsure of your school’s funding eligibility, please see our FAQ - ‘How to know if my school is eligible for funding?’.
It is the responsibility of your school’s induction tutor to register all ECTs and mentors on the DfE’s manage training for early career teachers service. This is the person within your school responsible for overseeing and leading on the Early Career Training programme.
The registrations will pull through to our system once the information has been validated. Please check with your induction tutor that they have registered you; if they have, you will receive a welcome email from us ([email protected]) with onboarding instructions.
If you cannot see your welcome email, please ensure that you check your junk folder. If you are using a school email address and trying to access the emails at work, we advise that you ask your IT team to add our email addresses to their safe senders list; @salesforce.com // @ambition.org.uk // @steplab.co // @steplab.co.uk.
Should your induction tutor still need to register you, they will need the following details from you:
- First and last names
- Date of birth
- TRN – find your TRN here
- Preferred email address (Please note: if your work email address is not yet live, we recommend using your personal email address, so you do not miss our onboarding communications)
How to register (for those employed by schools not eligible for funding):
Firstly, if unsure of your school’s funding eligibility, please see our FAQ - ‘How to know if my school is eligible for funding?’.
It is the responsibility of your school’s induction tutor to register all ECTs and mentors. This is the person within your school responsible for overseeing and leading on the Early Career Training programme.
To do this, they must reach out to a local delivery partner to establish a partnership for the academic year. At schools that are not eligible for DfE funding, ECTs and mentors should not be registered with the DfE. Instead, your delivery partner should register ECTs and mentors. Then, the registrations will pull through to our system. Please check with your induction tutor that they have initiated the registration process.
